El Instituto CRIIA participa en un foro sobre Desarrollo Sostenible en Filipinas/The CRIIA Institute participates in a Forum on Sustainable Development in the Philippines

Los primeros días de julio se ha celebrado en Manila (Filipinas) el National Family Farm School Forum, para reflexionar sobre el papel de la formación integral como herramienta para la creación de desarrollo rural sostenible. El Foro fue organizado conjuntamente por el Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement, PRRM, y por nuestro principal socio filipino, PARFED (Pilipinas Association of Rural Families for Education and Development).

Decenas de profesores y otros actores locales de varias de las escuelas rurales en modalidad dual integradas en PARFED (las Family Farm Schools, FFS) de Luzón, Visayas y Mindanao, participaron en el Foro. El Instituto CRIIA contribuyó de manera virtual con dos ponencias. La primera, sobre la importancia de la formación integral en el sistema dual, que no puede reducirse sólo al logro de competencias (hard skills vs soft skills). La segunda sobre el papel del acompañamiento personalizado de los alumnos, tanto en la empresa, como en la escuela. El Foro trató además el papel de la mujer en la agricultura en consonancia con el Año Internacional de la Mujer Agricultora lanzado por FAO.

In early July, the National Family Farm School Forum was held in Manila (Philippines) to reflect on the role of integral formation as a tool for fostering sustainable rural development. The forum was jointly organized by the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement (PRRM) and our main Philippine partner, PARFED (Philippine Association of Rural Families for Education and Development).

Dozens of teachers and other local stakeholders from several Rural VET Schools affiliated with PARFED (the Family Farm Schools, FFS) in Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao participated in the Forum. The CRIIA Institute contributed virtually with two presentations. The first presentation focused on the importance of comprehensive education in the dual system, which cannot be reduced solely to the acquisition of skills (hard skills vs. soft skills). The second presentation addressed the role of personalized support for students, both in the workplace and at school. The Forum also addressed the role of women in agriculture in line with the International Year of Women Farmers launched by the FAO.
